Isle of Wight Break

Post by SfcBlaze » 25 Nov 2013, 17:56

Took Wookie for his first holiday (well 1 night away from home). Caught a ferry to the isle of Wight and stayed in a 3 bedroom cottage at Rookley Country Park. Didn't expect too much from the cottage if it allowed dogs but it was absolutely amazing. Spotless. Very well equipped and a bargain short break (£32.50).

He had his first beach run too.

Very well behaved on the ferry. Was pleased to find a sheltered room for dogs and owners on the deck. I was expecting to spend a frozen hour walking round the deck.

I love the pic of Wookie on the beach - lead streaming out behind!

Wookie is still in basic training so his recall is non existent if there are other dogs around. But he does love to chase my son and husband.
