Odd title I know!
Has anyone had this on their dog.... Dexter has a
weird skin condition at the top of his tail. Its grey looking
with lots of small bumps that are crusty with dried blood.
It seems to be spreading:/ They look like small ticks but
under the skin.
He has seen the vet for this before and they said it
was an infection and gave antibiotics and it got better.
Now its back again and off to the vets again!
I just wondered if anyone has had something similar
on their dog?
Thanks:)
Grey skin on tail, bumps, dried blood??
Re: Grey skin on tail, bumps, dried blood??
Is it a couple of inches from the base of the tail? If so it could be stud tail - Daisy has it - there is a gland there that sometimes gets infected. If you google it you will find loads about it. I just bathe the area with diluted hibbiscrub when it flares up and it goes away.

I posted about this recently! Rosie's doesn't bleed though. The hibiscrub doesn't seem to have helped it get better but it hasn't got any worse. Am now trying another suggestion of just soap, will give it a while longer and if no better will go to the vets .
