Poor Murphy that must be very uncomfortable - my girl has gland probs but she clears them herself by rubbing bot on floor or my lounge carpet as they do - Sudocrem is the best cream ever for all sorts .

Got his biopsy results back just now. It's not anal furunculosis, but is a really severe infection which is verging on AF. My vet is going to check that he can take the medicine that cures it along with his phenobarbital for his epilepsy and let me know on Monday.

Murphy seems a bit more comfortable in himself, he has stopped going outside to sit on the cool patio! Hopefully once he starts on the 'proper' meds he will be able to poo in comfort!!!

Thank you all for your concern.

Wendy x

From the quick bit of googling I've done tonight, he should be fine on the meds and his epilepsy meds.

This will make you laugh; I got home from work to be greeted by my daughter telling me that the cat stank of poo! A quick visit to the vet and guess what - the cat's anal glands are blocked!!! Cue lots of laughing and teasing by the vet's nurses about my animals and their bums!

I GIVE UP!!!!!
