hiya everyone,
its been a while since ive been on here but I need your help. Daisy has had to got to the vets because she's got a very large strip all over her back where her fur has sort of fell out. now the vets gave her antibiotics for a month and this oil to put on her food called Yumega itchy dog(even though shes not scratching) coz she had little scabs to and they have cleared up but the big strip of fur that's missing is growing back in little patches. I'm not to sure wot to do we've been giving her oily fish and this oil to build her oils back up in her coat, but the rest of her coat needs cutting and I was wondering if I had her cut would it encourage the other part to grow with it? sorry I don't no how else to put it. please can someone give me their opinion? thanks in advance x

Hi daisy2014,
Sorry, no advice to impart, but maybe if Daisy had a haircut the patches would 'blend in'...? One of my old rescue's suddenly began to develop bald patches; our vets couldn't suggest anything and eventually, they just started to grow back in. I didn't know if it was stress or something more 'medical' - but it went away and never returned, so hopefully it'll be the same for Daisy, especially as it seems to be Spring at last.
Has your vet done any skin scrapes, or tests for allergies?
Anne, Ianto & Wyre x
