Trust me I'm a vet BBC2
Has anyone else just seen the incredible negative anti-Raw Food piece on this new vet show? Incredibly biased against Raw, and actually full of scare mongering! Obviously vets hate Raw! Anny+Dude

Did not see but is that the Trust me I'm a vet (aka give me all your money, rubs hands in glee when noted insurance in place).?
Given up on BBC they don't seem capable of presenting any unbiased material these days

Yes! Am I right in thinking vets and vet colleges are sponsored by the processed food manufacturers?
This piece was outrageously anti raw! All they talked about was contamination from raw meat, dog bowls, dogs mouths. Not a word about how good it is for dogs digestion etc. They touched on reports which, they claim, show no benefits from "This FAD " Anny

I agree with Michelle about the BBC
I think those owners who feed raw well know the benefits and will continue to feed raw .
Of course there are the dangers of dirty bowels and uneaten food but this is as pertinent if you feed raw or anything else.
It's as you say Anny....scaremongering.

We had all kinds of problems with vets and feeding stout raw. When he was really ill the vet at the royal vet college said he couldn't possibly have a balanced diet on raw. He put stout on some awful kibble that it was quite obviously he couldn't digest. We eventually compromised on a wet food. Our usual vet who has seen stout since he was a pup is ok with it as she has had to treat his bad belly several times. Stout for whatever reason can't eat dry food even ones with the same ingredients as his raw food. So we don't really have a choice!
You just have to be sensible as with human raw food. Lots of hand washing and we always pick stouts bowls up and chuck them in the dishwasher. We never have a problem with uneaten food!

Oh my goodness Bid, Thankyou for that link!
Nick Thompson says it all doesn't he, I hope the BBC take note, although they won't.
We are certainly staying with RAW. Dude's tummy has been totally fine since we changed in January. It feels almost miraculous! ( which is why I Wars so shocked by the tone of the BBC Tele show)Anny
