Soft Claws

Post by Sarahdol75 » 24 Aug 2018, 12:47

Has anyone ever tried soft claws on their dogs.

Harley is still knuckling his front paw, and as he is dragging his foot when walking, he is catching his nails, and sometimes they are bleeding. I do put a shoe on when we walk, but when he is in and out the house, he doesnt have it on.

Apparently they are good, but I was wondering on sizes, I am sick of buying shoes that say they are Large and they wouldnt fit a tiny dog

Hi Sarah
Never knew those existed false painted nails!
I’ve got some of these https://www.pawzdogboots.com/. They may work too .\though would not leave on 24/7. If I find where are carefully stored I could send Harley some.

Have since read reviews on soft claws, decided against them, they can make nails peel and go soft like if we have acrylic.

Pollydoodle are these suitable for on concrete aswell??

Hi Sarah, i’d Imagine they would be ok though perhaps won’t last quite as long if often heavily dragged on really rough concrete . They are robust though and used on the road. They are like a strong latex. NB are waterproof so not for endless wearing given dogs ‘sweat’ via the paws.
Hope that helps .
(Ps :They blooming brilliant if there is ever injury to paw as the they stay on!)
