Paroxysmal Dyskinesia
Paroxysmal Dyskinesia
Murphy has just been diagnosed with PD on top of his epilepsy. Apparently it's a very common complaint for labradors. It doesn't do the dog any harm, but it does freak them out, as they cannot move whilst experiencing an episode. When he has an episode it looks very similar to an epileptic seizure, so I've got to try and decide which is which. Murph has an amazing neurologist who I send videos to and he tells me which is which.
Does anyone else have a dog with PD? Murph has been put on keppra for this which seems to be helping, but on top of his epilepsy meds is making him a bit uncoordinated.

Oh dear Murphy, you seem to have more than your fair share of troubles. I have also never heard of PD but by your posting the symptoms may help another owner in the future. So impressed that you are so on top of it. Murphy is very lucky to have you. Keep well Murphy xx
