Lulu's grieving for her best friend Bruno. He had to be pts this morning - he was 16 and had just had enough.

We have buried him in the orchard on the farm next to our old bassett hound McKenzie. The vet said to let Lulu see him so she understood he had gone. It was so sad she barked at him, tapped him then lay down next to him.

 So sad. 16 years is a great doggy lifespan. Remember all the adventures you had together

So, so sorry for you and Lulu. He looks like quite a character in his natty little hat!

My heart goes out to you at this really sad time.

Xx

I'm so sorry :( . You must miss him after 16 years

Daisy grieved when we lost Barney - she saw him afterwards as well, and ran outside to bark in distress. After that she was out of sorts for about 2 - 3 weeks, and then was back to normal. I hope Lulu is the same.

So sorry for your loss. Sounds like he has a very special resting place.

We’ll be thinking of you & Lulu at this very sad time.

So sorry for you, how sad ... it's the hardest thing about having pets. Sounds like he had a lovely life with you all.

It is always very sad when we have to sad goodbye to our beloved pets. 16 is such a good doggie age though and his resting place sounds like a beautiful place to go and remember him. Give Lulu a big cuddle from Lola x

I'm very sad to hear of your loss; I bet Bruno was a character. But as others have said he lived a good long life and he has a lovely resting place. Let the grief take its course and you will be left with many wonderful, funny memories.

Oh what a shame - bruno looks like he was a proper little character but he had a lovely long life and lulu will adjust after a short while and settle into normal routines.
Run free Bruno

Such sad news  I know that later you will look back with fond memories of each of those 16 years but I am thinking of you whilst the loss is so present and strong. Love to you and Lola xx
