East Mids Meet anyone!!!

Post by gilly g » 14 Apr 2013, 19:57

Following on from Freda's involvement with rescue, made me realise that we have lapsed just a little, SO. ...who is up for a meet soon?

Sunday mornings are best for me... Shipley Park, Elvaston Castle, Locko Park (Some parts are lead walks as livestock around) Straws Bridge, Wollaton Park, Hemington, Cotrgrave new reserve????? Further south!? Further north!? Any other ideas for venues very welcome :D

Would love an East mids meet. :D
Any where that has toilets, so that rules out straws bridge for me, I have a weak bladder at the moment
and I've been knocked over (whilst peeing behind a tree) by Wurls & pee'd on myself too many times lately.
Sunday mornings are good for me. :D

Hi Gill,

We have also been very remiss in visiting this site as well as not involving ourselves in EM MESS's! Would be great to resurrect and get involved, weekends best for us, probably Sunday mornings but will be flexible both in time and venue(s). Let's try and get something arranged in the next few weeks? Another venue you haven't mentioned which we've been to a few times recently is Rosliston Park just outside Burton on Trent.

But happy to go with the flow.... Come on everybody, let's get something organised soon!!!!

Shall we go for Rolliston Park on Sunday 19 May? If that suits.

Elaine, you will have to let us (well, certainly me), have post code for Sat Nav,or directions, as I haven't a clue where it is

Look forward to seeing you all :D

And Salsis, there is absolutely no reason whatsoever to apologise, now, then, or after: we are all in the same boat!

It has been a while, hasn't it!!!
I think we can make that Sunday. Directions would be good as this is not our part of the area at all. 10 am is fine...will take us an hour to get there but we are normally out walking at 8.30 on a Sunday so not a problem.
May bring an honorary doodle (and owner) with us if that is OK :)
Riley is having a summer short back and sides this week so will be all smart (OK perhaps I kid myself)....
Look forward to seeing you all
