Hi all,
Alibobs and I are arranging another meet

Formby is our next destination, im really looking forward to it as ive never been before

the post code for the car park to meet is L37 1LJ
2 miles off A565. Follow brown signs from roundabout at north end of Formby bypass

this is a National Trust car park so for members it is free to park but non members need to pay £4.50.

Please join us if you can

AARGH!! I was looking forward to this one but I've got to be at Hickstead in the afternoon.
Looks like I'll have to miss it.
Mind you I'm away for the two following weekends so there's no hope for us.

This information came from Cath J - and is much appriciated

At the Freshfield beach entrance, all cars stop to pay at the gate, then, there is parking each side of the tree lined road along the nature reserve area, then 500 yards ish.. later the road opens up into a beach car park just before the sand dunes. That’s the main carpark..

and Cath - we can meet up there as soon as you have moved and are ready for a walk

We want to try!! I used to go to Formby a lot when I lived at my Dads (Upholland) and love it. And Poppy has been once and adored it. We've moved now though so if we can find a way to go (no car, from Macclesfield) we will definately be there. Sounds great - and I know Poppy would love running about with all the other dogs.

Went on a mini pub crawl today in the country with Pop and she LOVED meeting all the resident dogs, and was SO GOOD. A little scared of the biggest dog she'd ever seen - but even so, she just adores company.

Fingers crossed we can get there, we must buy a car soon!

Wow, here's some useless info ..... the FORMBY MEET Rowan put on at 8:12pm had 80 views by 9:10pm.... :shock:

I know that has wasted a lot of peoples time reading this daft info.... but I hope its a great turn out for the North West Doods.... :lol:

Hi Rowan,

I'm in Scootlund... and the forcast for the weekend for up here is rain rain and flood warnings, sorry if it looks a bit yucky down there too...

BUT..... if yawll decide to change it for a another date - please let me know as we move down to England soon and can join you guys.... hopefully on a dryer day.... :roll:
