Yes, Barney's was forced out in the rain for weeks when he was only a baby so I thought he was immune but he didn't want to go out for his morning wee today and on a walk today he refused to sit down I think because it was so wet. Someone said "Oh look at that woman teaching that dog how to sit" and I thought "He bloody knows how to sit he's just refusing!!!!!!!"

So I will go out a few more times in the rain to make him sit down today naughty Barney!!!

I'm totally fed up with the rain too :( , Wurly loves it, but I'm now slightly sick of getting wet. Hope it cheers up a bit for you to go camping Elaine, fingers crossed :D

Maggie that Barney story was funny

Plus this weather is bad for our Roses  , they're looking a sorry state :( , However the black bamboo seems to have gone mental, it's one of the few things really enjoying all this rain

It hasn't been anywhere as bad here as it has for you in the midlands. Stout is a fan of the rain, lots of nice puddles (no-he hasn't learnt his lesson) not sure chris enjoyed their walk this morning quite as much.

Hope you manage to stay dry elaine on your trip!

My lawn has enjoyed it too, I am sure there are some elephants hiding in it its so long!

Hope the rest of you don't have any problems from all the rain!

Couldn't agree more......we've obviously not got it as bad down on the Wilts/Dorset border, but it's still pretty awful - especially when we've been trying to get our kitchen extension built since the end of April and have had no hot water (boiler removed to make way for extension  ) for three months  The builders have had more days off tbe job than on :( The roof is starting to go on on Monday, so am expecting an extra large deluge

Elaine -do hope you manage to get away somewhere drier for the weekend :D

Awful weather and very hard when you have a puppy that isn't yet allowed out for a walk!!!!!

I had been spending most of my time in the garden with him but obviously that isn't possible now, so he is cooped up indoors getting under everyones feet. I don't yet allow him in the living room (except in the evening to snuggle up) as he wets everywhere (cos it is carpet I suspect?) so he is in the kitchen, my kitchen isn't big enough to have chairs and tables (or even just a chair!) so I am spending my days sat on the kitchen floor!!!!!

Fed up!

Rain rain go away! Having said that we were very lucky this morning and had an hour on the beach in bright sunshine (bliss - welcome back summer!) before heading back to rainy London.. Boo hoo.

My friend who has a labradollie (lab/collie cross) with quite long hair loves her one of these for rainy day walks: http://www.equafleece.co.uk/store/dog_tankies.html
I'm thinking of getting holly one for these types of days - either to wear whilst we're out or probably just to wear when we're home to dry her off!!
