It's little mini Shetland :) :)

Just had to share this pic....Meet Asterix the latest arrival at Rainbow :)
When he walked into the yard today I thought Alan was walking Ambrose , I had to do a double take
This is our tiniest pony. He's nine months old and sadly has been born with deformities of both his hind limbs :(
He is not suffering any discomfort and gets around really well so he has come to live with us.

I wonder if he might join us on our Die hard walks, Ruth's Darcy is most definitely bigger than him.

Oh what a darling Asterix is, Linny :D I have been meaning to ask you about him as I know you were having problems with transport for him in the snow.....

He is so gorgeous. Next photo has to be with him and Ambrose together......

He has met the Dood Kate but is a little unsure about dogs, loves cats though and already has a friend in Ghost. Ghost quite often sits on the ponies backs when they are stabled  He has sussed "central heating for cats "

I expect little Asterix will become used to dogs, Linny...In the meantime, it's lovely that he has Ghost as a friend. Would love to see her with the stabled ponies :) We have only ever been able to offer our cats a towel on the aga lid not their own pony

Oooooh Linny, Asterix is geoooooorgous :D

Please bring him on a die hard walk, please, please, please

He will have a lovely home at the Sanctuary, and thankfully his legs are not giving him discomfort, so it will hopefully be a long and happy one :D

Were you suggesting Darcy was more than the average minature by the way   :?

 No Linda it's a long line, though he would happily walk on a lead he is so good.
He is so tiny that I can actually still physically pick him up :)
He seems to be settling in very well indeed, needs a couple of weeks of feeding, he's very thin under that coat
