Update on Belle

Sadly, this update has just been posted on Doodle Times

'Have just spoken to Jax poor Bella has deteriorated and cannot fight it herself so the vet has phoned a specialist and as we speak they giving her a blood transfusion. Jax may be able to see her this evening but the next 24 hours are crucial so Jax has asked me to ask you to please keep praying and keep lighting those candles.

Do keep your good wishes and vibes going. They have helped poorly doodles in the past and this little girl needs all the help she can get to pull through.

please - even if you dont know Belle or Jax, send your positive thoughts their way - they really do need them

Devastating news that Belle has deteriorated but good that she is in professional hands and having a blood transfusion now. Just as in the case of humans this can bring about a rapid improvement and I hope so much that Belle turns the corner.

She has a lot to live for and is a brave girl. Hope Jax can see her soon as I think that can sometimes help....

Thanks, Suze. I don't want to keep e mailing Jax but if anyone speaks to her please tell her that I am also thinking of Milo; he must be very confused as well......

Another update.......

I have just spent 40mins with Belle and they were in the middle of the transfusion when I arrived. I was able to tickle her gently whilst she was having it done. Her tail wagged when she saw me and thankfully she has accepted the new blood. Apparently if they are going to reject it, it happens in the first 15mins.

They have increased her steriods and are using another drug to try and help so the transfusion is just to give us more time for the steriods to do their thing, I believe?

Sorry my vet tells me in great detail what they are doing and what is happening but I only hear the bits that say she is stable.

Now I know she is an extremely sick girl but she is fighting this with all she has got so please, please keep your positive thoughts going.
