Is it necessary to have the fur trimmed around your Doodles eyes, Ruby went to the groomers just before Christmas and had the fur trimmed there, yet I know her mother had her fur hanging over her eyes!
I just wondered if this affected their vision..............I know if my fringe gets too long it irritates me!!!

Someone told me that the reason they have very long eyelashes is to keep the hair out of the eyes :| . I don't know if that is the case or not - I do trim around the eyes of my girls, but I think the hair might bother me more than it does them - they don't rub their eyes at all :|

I think Marley looks angry when his eyebrows get long, not sure I like it, but then when he comes back from teh groomer with them gone I'm not sure I like that either

I know dogs sense of smell is far better than their eyesight - I only have to watch Coco sniffing her way around a room or sniffing out a tennis ball in some grass when I can see it plainly from 100 yards away, to know that.
But still... I do like to see a pair of bright eyes clearly looking straight back at me, so now I keep the hair around her eyes short :)

I was told by the eye vet when my dogs went for their yearly eye tests that it is important to keep the eyes clear so they can see as this can effect there vision when they are puppies...

AFTER, you can see his lovely eyes. I have Freddie trimmed so that he can see properly and I can see his eyes. Aren't eyes supposed to be the window to your soul?

I keep the boys trimmed for a very good reason.

Dogs read a great deal from the eyes. If a storage dog can't see the eyes, it's one piece of the jigsaw missing when they're weighing your dog up. We all know how "friendly" doods are, but this can get them in trouble. Anything that could help prevent bother, I'm willing to do it for the sake of a fringe…
