Yep, still convinced you should take that up!!!! 27 / 30 quid a shot is gonna add up quickly! We used to pay £25 for a small wirehaired terrier!!

I would seriously think about it! especially mobile! the one I know has a mobile thingy that the dog attaches to if necessary (excuse the technical terms haha) and is more popular because it is not always easy to get out!!! Like Nike says .................. just do it! :)

I am not sure that they are that good....but yes I would love to take the course and do it 'Mobile' as I feel that dogs are usually at their best if they are in their own environment.

We want to have another child as soon as we can and when things are sound financially, and once the little ones were old enough, I wanted to go back to College....have one just down the road that does the grooming courses.....It would be a wish of mine to become a dog groomer......and have looked into it....Its totally something I would love to do

But.....because of circumstances I may look into it now......the only problem is getting the funding, but yes maybe a grant could be sought....

Watch this space......I could be "Kate...Doodle Groomer Uk".....LOL

Atleast in the meantime I can keep my boys looking decent at all times....

A good job done without a doubt! I don't think Carole G will be letting her prized pooches near you yet. :D :D

The next thing you'll be needing is to find somewhere that sharpens clipper blades.

Mobile dog baths and grooming are huge over here, there must be upwards of 20 trundling about the place, although it is OK grooming a dog outside when it is 20+ degrees.

I think if you rolled up at a popular dog beach it'd do a roaring trade rinsing sand off & a quick blast dry for the trip home.

Do you what I think Adam,s got a point about a quick wash and dry as dogs are leaving busy dog walk beaches etc.Id pay,my cars filthy. Then my lovely girl paddles it into the house and makes a mess there as well, shes on the sofa snoring her head at the moment,,she looks quite clean, thank goodness.Shes loved bless her.Freda

Yeah, Adam makes a great point there! Sometimes you have to be bold in life and to be able to do something you enjoy, well it doesn't get better than that!. I think for the "first attempt" you have made a very good job and I have had our old terrier Sally back with some awful cuts from groomers so you seem to have a gift, and after training too.....who knows :) Well worth a go I reckon!

I guess its very different clipping other peoples dogs, rather than just your own (getting out he scissors for a bit you've missed. ), but the dog washes are pretty straightforward, can be self contained (generator & water tank), and $5-$10 (sorry no pound key!) to go home with a clean and sweet smelling dog wouldn't break the bank.

The other one we've seen here, and must be in the UK are the self serve dog washes like car washes. Again a good way to get the dogs clean.
