When we bought Cleo a few months ago, we were told that both parents could be seen. Mum, a beutiful Golden Lab, and Dad, a manic and excitable standard poodle. However, I have since learnt that somewhere in the pool gene is a Kangaroo which the breeder did not tell us about!

Here she is leaping in excess of 3ft in the air as she chases me out of the back door! Not bad for a 5month puppy.
How high will she jump when fully grown??!!?!

Fantastic, we have nicknamed Fozzy, Harrier (after the jump jet) as he seems to be able to leap a few feet in the air straight up, but we do have a pic of him leaping as a 16 week old puppy on the beach that always makes me smle!

Pixie was quite a jumper as a young pup and along with a strong ball/retrieval instinct she has progressed to competing at national level at flyball
Here it is speed and accuracy that are key - but she loves it
Cleo may love to have a go at this or maybe agility - where she can jump to her little hearts content.

I would love to do some agility with her, however, I think we need to do a few more obedience classes first!
Cleo is very easily distracted and very social, so would much rather go off jumping around with (and over for that matter) other dogs than following a set course of obstacles.

Hi

I know what you mean and Cleo is still just a baby so not yet old enough for proper Agility/flyball training but when she gets nearer a year look out for 'taster'sessions' in your area - you'll be amazed how well they do and they love it.
Pixie can be really naughty on walks for ignoring recalls and running off to other dogs etc but in flyball she races in a team of 4 dogs and does tight and fast crossovers at the start/finish line with other dogs and doesn't bat an eyelid - and there is another team racing next to us too- it's amazing really.
Cleo is very cute - a lovely diddy doodle !!
My pup Jazz - (nearly 5 months) is showing very promising signs of ball retrieval and speed so in a few months I'll start her off in flyball taster sessions and see how she goes
Kathy
