Hello,

I'm the proud owner of a 13 week old Australian Labradoodle called Rufus. I just wanted to say how helpful I've found this forum already...and I've only had him 2 weeks!

Rufus is quite a character. He's quite sleepy during the day and saves most of his energy for when my husband returns home from work! He's already had a poorly ear infection and is off to the vets tonight for a worming tablet, flea treatment and booster injection...poor little thing

We've been working on obedience training over the past couple of weeks and he is doing really well. We've mastered 'Sit', 'Lie down' and 'Paw'. We're still working on 'Stay', 'Come' and 'Drop it!' His favourite snacks are soil, leaves, grass and sticks. Eugh!

I'm sure it's going to be great fun having a Labradoodle

He is gorgeous!! Welcome to the forum, there are some very wise owls with lots of labradoodle experience on here (alas not me, I'm still learning!! ) so a great place to come for doodle advice

Rufous is absolutely gorgeous.

Ember loves to chew leaves, mud, twigs, grass etc

Hope you enjoy your time on the forum, I am finding it very useful and it is great to know that my Rufus (who is 15 weeks) is not the only one who eats everything LOL!!!

Typical doodle menu I think and no doubt will go onto snails, stones and your best garden plants
Your training is going well for his age - I think recall is the hardest to train as doodles are very 'selectively' deaf !!

Oh Rufus you are a very handsome chap, hope the vets goes ok, be brave! Dougal's favourite food is everything and anything including shoes, bra's knickers etc etc......

Darcy, you could be Rufus' twin! Rufus is from Courtlands.

It's really good to know that Rufus isn't the only one with unusual tastes! I did see him sniffing a slug today...so maybe snails will be a delicacy very soon.

He was very brave at the vets and was as good as gold. He seems to love everyone...even when they are holding a needle in their hand!

Aero also likes snails... and horse poo, yuck!!
