Not sure what I could have done about this, but last night as usual I was walking my doodle about 20.00, along a quiet little well-lit car-less side road where 13 month old Milo can run on the verges. As we went along in the bushes I saw a cardboard box containing what looked like burning newspapers. I called Milo away and we were about 20 feet past when a whole bunch of fireworks exploded out of the box, whizzing around us. Milo has never been scared of fireworks but even he ran away. I eventually caught him and he was fine, but I can't help thinking I was very lucky. There was no-one near when this happened, although someone had passed me going in the other direction a few minutes before. I can only guess he left the box.

What a lucky escape!....thank goodness you were both uninjured but let's hope this hasn't made Milo frightened of fireworks. What sort of idiot does that?
